 Your attention please!
« Thread Started on Aug 27, 2009, 5:50pm »

My point here is people have feelings.

No matter how angry you are, if you feel wronged in some way, the good way to go would be to send a tell, a PM, whatever you want. The wrong thing to do would be blatantly ignoring a DM’s presence and actions around you. The DMs are here to help, not to favor a side. Ignoring their action is directly refusing to take part in the world, going OOC to rant about it is not respectful of the DM either. My advice is that if you feel so wronged and mad, then perhaps you should log off for a while and take a deep breath before coming back online.

We’re all humans and it’s normal to be mad at times. Just take a time to think of it. Ignoring the DM who is trying to help is not a good idea, it’s disrespectful both to the DM and to the setting itself. Just breathe… then think of what is wrong.

If you feel personally targeted I invite you to take your complaint to the player admin with a calm mind, or use the !anon command.

Another little thing. Nowhere in this world is completely safe. There are a few evil creatures and holy places in game which have wards that protect or buff the good creatures. That does not mean that evil can be completely repelled from those places. It means that evil is coming to get you where it is weaker. You can fight back! Do what your character would in that case. It is RP after all and that is most likely what you came here for in the first place. It is Faerûn and Faerûn is not devoid of evil.

Now, there have been a few cases of frivolous PVP actions from people and I do believe the new rules will change that quite a bit.

My advice to the evil PCs is to be careful about what you do. When you start feeling that you ruin other people’s fun, something is wrong.

My advice to the good PCs is that you should stay in character when possible. There are allies to be found in cities, there are things to be done against evil, shrines to be raised, etc. Do not feel wronged because evil disturbed peace. It is what your characters should fight against.

My advice to the DMs is to watch what is going on and take hold of the situation before it slips into very unwanted, OOC drama and ranting.

It’s a game and we want it to stay fun.

Being said player Admin, yes bring your complaints to me.

I'm fully aware that I'm not always easy to find quickly because of my work schedule, but that time can be used to write out your complaint in a well organized and well worded fashion.

Thank you.

Tiberius
