Hi all I played Aalnyar Korianthil and I was curious what the last save of my character was made up of? I know I was not as experienced as on the Myth Drannor server but I know I had made it to the bladesinger class and wanted to know what my vault toon info was so I know what version I would be playin I have played him on many servers and needed to know at what level he was when the server went offline.
He may bee in the older vault though not sure since the computer I used at the time has died and I do not have a way to retrieve the data

Looking thru the servervault, I cannot find any player named Aalnyar Korianthil. there is a very good chance it might have been wiped from the servervault years and years ago.
If you exported the char, let me know, you can send it to me, and Ill see what I can do.

Sadly the computer that had the information is more than likely gone unless I can get it from the hd which I still have

I know DM Nakamura Sakura/DM Nightsinger knew me back in the day when I played him maybe also desaber, but never really did any big events here so? where would I look for his files in association with the server?

If you ever exported your character, you should find it in the playervault folder of your install.

I believe the same happened with one of my characters, Amir. It was a victim of the server wipe and I forgot about it.

now your just needing proof the character existed is why I am looking for this file? since the old characters cant be used in their current form but will have to be recreated? also if I played several servers how will I tell the difference of the character from server to server so I know its the correct one?

If worse comes to worse guys, I can dig up old records and maybe between Stille and I, we can work something out for you guys and have Amir and Aalnyar remade.  You're both great players so I'm sure we can work something out between all of us for you. |

I've decided that instead of resurrecting an old character I'll start one new when PRC 3.5 is released. it's a new server and since Amir was a normal human, I imagine he's back in Calimshan, married, and likely getting too complacent to adventure!  But it is nice that the staff is willing to work with players. |

I found a alot of bics for the character between 2005-2010, what year should I focus on to get you a copy? and how do I get it to you

Do what? I want proof that your character existed? Really? Personally, I'm indifferent over the fact. But....... I was giving you the benefit of the doubt, and letting you send me a copy of your PC. You know, to be nice to you. To see if it is capable of even doing so, before we move to v2. But I can see that this was a bad idea after the fact. So, consider this avenue closed. No more importing before v2. |

Wait wait, Looking at your post date before you posted recently, youve never played on this mod proper. You played on the old mod: I wanted to thank all the players of DDMS and the Staff and Admins since you have have made my time here fun and enjoyable and why I am sad to say I will not be joining the new mod when it goes live. With Three kids and starting a second job soon I wont have the time to invest in getting my character the levels he would need once the 50% level cut happens for the new mod. I finally have Aalnyar kind of where I want him now, not too powerful yet not a cream puff basically where hes a comfortable fit and having to get that fit again with my soon to be limited time just would not be enjoyable for me at this time. In closing you guys are great builders, story tellers and just fun to game with I wish your new project the best possible luck (which I know it doesn't need at all ) best wishes and who knows may see you guys down the line if I ever win the lottery but till then guess the grind stone it is for me. Take Care Aalnyar Korianthil ;D So............ don't really know what to say........the PC wont work anyways :/ |

Ah so the old mod is considered not proper? I was not bashing or having an attitude just trying to figure out what you had needed So I am sorry if you took it that way it was not intentional; In closing I did not join the mod again (2010) because of marital issues which I did not wish to speak of. I really did enjoy the RP but getting to the point of a comfortable character with loads of RP invested (and yes I know everyone does this);at that time was disheartening to consider going back to level seven (from level 12)due to other longer time members with over level 30 characters (who when reduced still would have been lev 20+)because the staff felt the higher level players were no longer manageable (able to run good events for)and felt that doing a reduction across the board would help playability. Am I a role player? I like to think so I have never done power builds to just grind levels and kill everything on the server; I like to feel that those that I have RPed with enjoyed it and found my character fun to adventure with or hated them due to good rping. I wanted to thank Dsaber for the fun times; demonwing for some fantastic events (from a couple different servers which includes this one)and stillevande who I may have made feel I was insulting you, BUT, def was not the intention and if you took it that way I would like to say I am sorry if I made you regret doing something cool it was never my intention and thank you for your explanation how my character from two mods ago would not be grandfathered in (due to not playing on the second birth mod - aka precvious one) |
